This fast creative game was developed by former First Grade Rugby League player
Perry Haddock as a training tool for the Under 21's St George team.
It has been such a success, that Perry has now developed it as a game in its own right to be used as a non-contact version of Rugby League.
The game has all the ingredients of league with simple, easy to follow rules that make for an exciting social game that can be played by people from all walks of life that are keen to enjoy themselves and get fit at the same time.
Since it's inception in 1993, OZTAG football has experienced growth across the nation in both urban and rural areas.The first competition began in the summer of 1992-93 with 28 teams playing at two separate locations in Sydney : Cronulla and St George areas.
OZTAG football has teams participating in both summer and winter competitions throughout most major cities.
